Some technical issues have meant I haven’t been able to update this blog for a few days. I didn’t realise how much I missed having a small outlet like this, where I can write what I like and how I like and as much as I like without having any worries about deadlines or criticism or rules of any kind.
This picture doesn’t have a lot to do with this post, but I snapped it last weekend when I had half an hour to myself during which I could enjoy the first mince pie of the season with some coffee made from beans we brought back from France last summer. While taking a break can be good, I need to write for my own sake. I know I’m not writing anything terribly profound on here, and I’m fine with that. I have enough ‘important stuff’ to write in my real job.
